In reply to Juliane Henriette Bekou. Hello! I couldn't see an easy way to reach Timanfaya by bus and visited on a day tour which was very good and inexpensive. One option is to take the bus to the nearby town of Yaiza (which is lovely) and a taxi from there to Montañas del Fuego.

FYI: if you are traveling to or in India by air, ALL scissors are a no go except in checked bags! That includes those tiny ineffective blunt scissors in mini first aid kits and nail clippers. You WILL be stopped.

And as it happens, they fasten your checked bags shut if you’re flying within India! So you have no knife or scissors, and a sealed bag…

Thank you! Dining alone is one of the worse aspects of solo travel but I have become more comfortable with this over the years. Not sure if you’ve seen this post but it may help when you need to do this again.https://www.theflashpacker.net/how-to-dine-alone/
