LIECHTENSTEIN
Liechtenstein is the 4th smallest country in the world after Vatican City, Monaco and San Marino. It’s an easy addition to your Austria or Switzerland itinerary (I visited as a day trip from Feldkirch in Austria).
Set against the backdrop of soaring Alpine peaks, Vaduz, its diminutive capital, punches above its weight when it comes to cultural attractions. And who can say “no” to a dish of Käsknöpfle – a twist on macaroni cheese – washed down with a glass of the local Pinot Noir?
