I’m Bridget Coleman and I established this award-winning website in 2018. My mission is to help you travel smarter, safer and solo in affordable luxury.

Who am I?
I’m a London-based full-time travel blogger and am also a qualified pharmacist with a PhD in Health Informatics. Unlike most female solo travel bloggers, I’m well past my 30s.
But what I have lost in youth, I make up for in experience. Over the last four decades, I have visited more than 70 countries, most as a solo traveller.
I am at peace walking barefoot across a soft sandy beach or gazing at snow-capped mountains. I am an outgoing introvert who is a complete cinephile and an unashamed Trekkie (the Original Series is the best, obviously!).

The travel advice information in The Flashpacker is based on first-hand experiences, both triumphs and mistakes. It has all the practical tips you need to help you make your travel dreams a reality.
I pay for all of my travel and aim to show that it is possible to travel in comfort on a midrange budget, with the occasional splurge on luxury hotels, business class flights and cruises.
